Unofficial CFC maps RULES
Please read carefully!

What things can I NOT do when making a CFC map?

1, You may NOT name your map CFCmapname.map, cfc_Mapname, cfcmapname or c_Mapname.map! CFC reserve the right to the full CFC, cfc or c_ tags for Official CFC maps ONLY. If your map is one of the truly greats you we may accept it as an official CFC map. Note this is rare so don’t feel bad when your not accepted to the main OFFICIAL map list. You however may name your map MapNAME_c.map (MapName will be the name you give it, the little c is to indicate that its a CFC map. another example would be SHOTGUNc.map or WAR_c.map. With this little c we all will be able to spot our maps in the game launches.

2, Do NOT use any of the Official CFC maps to template your maps!!!

3, Do NOT modify, change or add to ANY of the Official CFC maps!!!

4, Do NOT use any of the Official CFC maps names like TERRAx, CROSS or any of the others. Read the list of CFC maps listed on our maps page to see the names taken. Also try not to take any of the names used by other Unofficial CFC maps. If you find you need to use a generic name like AllRpgs or RPG map and its used by another map make sure your map name is in some way different then the ones listed on maps page. For instance if RPG_c.map is used make yours AllRPG_c or if you have to RPG2_c.map but NEVER take someone else’s name exactly.

What things MUST I do when making a CFC map?

1, You must have the letters CFC placed some where in the map. The position of the CFC logo should be in a primary or secondary room if there is one.

2, You must have the CFC web site address posted within the map some place with the letters CFC above below or next to it. The address should appear EXACTLY as you see it here. WWW.SAVE-NOW.COM/CFC The real address is in lowercase letters but duke only has upper case letters so this is how it will look.

3, The letters of the CFC logo Must be placed in a neat order and in an appropriate place as to reflect the values of the CFC Clan. As stated above they do not have to be placed in any special section but do not hide the letters in such a manner that they man not be found by the average player just running through your map. This means don’t stash the CFC logo and address in far away secrete place

4, Try to incorporate something that helps bring to the players mind even in a small way to God and how truly great he is. This might be a bible verse in a duct or room, a word of praise or even a cross. Now use some common sense like for instance don’t put a cross in a lava pit, or pick a bible verse that can be taken wrong given the environment, I think you get the idea. this is not required but we strongly recommend it and may help with your maps acceptance.

5, You must keep you map clean of any smut or foul language.

6, Your map must also be good! Make sure you find a theme and follow through with it. Make sure you shade your maps correctly. Test Test Test and retest your maps for bugs! Make sure its near done and truly a fun map to play before you ask for its review. Be ready to make a change if we feel its needed but this in unlikely.

7, Your map is subject to review by CFC before it can be accepted as an "unofficial CFC map" Please make your maps nice. We will not accept any map that does not meet our standards. This means it must meet the requirements above and also be a fun and cool map to play. Don’t rush and pump out your first map just like that, take your time and make a simple map that’s perhaps not for CFC and see how your ideas come to life. This is not to say we wont accept a first map but the first one is always a learning experience. :)

TIP Remember some of the Simple maps are some of the bets! Like Tictacto and Jroom.maps. They are simple but very popular! Big can be fun but if its to big the players never get a change to see eachother and fight.

If for any reason your map is not accepted for release as an unofficial CFC map to be posted on our public distribution Maps page please don’t feel bad. In fact I hope you turn around and go right back to it and try even harder.
